  • Pavel competed in the stick handling and fastest skater competitions in the 2004 All Star Super-Skills competition.  During that All-Star Game, he centered between Jarome Iginla and Rick Nash, went five for eight in faceoffs and was a minus-1.
  • On January 11, 2007, Pavel passed Nikolas Lidstrom as the Red Wings' leading scorer—he scored five points in a game against the Phoenix Coyotes .
  • In 2006-07, Pavel became the first player since Frank Boucher in the 1930s to win the Lady Byng Trophy in consecutive seasons.
  • In December of 2007, Pavel received the Carhartt Award as the Hardest Working Player of the Month .

  • When not on the ice, Pavel enjoys tennis, soccer, billiards, fishing and golf.
